Friday, February 2 is National Wear Red Day!  Wear your red to help raise awareness for heart disease.  Did you know that Heart Disease is the number one in life threatening diseases for women?  The American Heart Association (www.heart.org) recommends the following tips for better heart health:

  • Healthy eating ( fuel your body with nutrients)
  • More fruits and veggies (say no to junk and yes to colorful, fresh natural foods)
  • Exercise (movement to: talk walks, take the steps, join a gym, etc)
  • Healthy living (get your rest, manage stress, and maintain healthy personal relationships)

Valentine’s Day isn’t the only reason to celebrate with red hearts.  Here’s to a healthy heart!
